ZOMG! Müs

I've been looking for new stuff lately, but I have been falling back on the music that I already have.

You can see what I've been listening to here.

Have a safe and happy Halloween. :D

First things first, go check out http://ieattapes.com right after you listen to these. I emailed them in the past about what exactly ieattapes was for and I got a reply saying that it was like a fresh, warm baked potato with all the toppings. ;D

Now, the title says it all. Ieattapes posted some new blues songs as well as a good gem of a song. It's a cover by Lady & Bird, and if you've ever seen an episode of M*A*S*H in your life, you'll probably like it.

Next up is a Radiohead cover, which I totally and absolutely love love love. <3 My Brightest Diamond is one of my favorite artists. If you like it, then you'll probably like A Tribute to OK Computer.

      My Brightest Diamond - Lucky

This is an extremely pretty version of What a Wonderful World. It does justice to the original version.

The Innocence Mission - What a Wonderful World

Ahhh. One of my favorite covers, well it may be the original... I love it either way. Iron and Wine is just amazing. No matter what he plays always memorizes me.

Iron and Wine - Such Great Heights

It's also a shame that Last.fm only has thirty seconds of the song available. :/

Sometimes, people just want a meaningful hug. Something to make them feel better when everything just isn't exactly going as it should.

Department of Eagles - No One Does it Like You
    Black Moth Super Rainbow -
I Think it is Beautiful That You are in 256 Colors Too (Free Download)
    Ugly Casanova - Things I Don't Remember
    Arcade Fire - Intervention
    Bishop Allen - Butterfly Net

Normally, I don't enjoy any Christian rock because it pretty much sounds the same all the time, which totally sucks. On the other hand, you'll find some pretty freaking awesome Christian rock bands like the David Crowder Band that know how to rock your world without even trying. :P

I first have to thank my friend Caleb for giving me their latest CD Church Music, which came out only yesterday. It's an awesome 17 track CD packed with very very cool tracks, including a cover of Flyleaf's All Around Me, my second favorite of the CD.

For those of you who have never heard of Grizzly Bear, I'd say that they sound like a mixture of natural beats and strange stringed things, as well as random piano keys. You could say that they sound like elevator music for a really really strange place. ^ ^

Back in 2005, Grizzly Bear put out Horn of Plenty - a CD composed of remixes. I've fallen in love with CD. Their song Deep Sea Diver (covered by The Bomarr Monk) is my favorite track off of Horn of Plenty. The beat is wickedly amazing. Plus, the guitar about half way into the track sound like RoosterTeeth's opening to Red vs. Blue.

Also, here's an awesome video of Grizzly Bear playing Shift (here's the song in .mp3 via their site) in a cramped bathroom. No matter where they perform, they are always amazing. Beautiful music for the not so beautiful people. Ha. ^ ^

Whoo! Yeah, I need to update this waay more often. XD
Sufjan Stevens = <3
     Chicago

I've always liked Radiohead, but I haven't had a chance to just listen to an entire CD. Thanks to Taylor, I can finally do that. ^ ^

Ok Computer
is my favorite album so far. <3

Also, a HUGE thanks goes out to Caleb. He's given me some great music as well and will most likely get it's own post. :D

As for the new music that is mentioned in my last post, I loved almost all of it. The Mars Volta CD, Octahedron, was actually pretty good. I have listened to some of their other music and didn't enjoy it that much. This CD is rather calm compared to most of their other stuff.
The Spoon albums are pretty amazing. :D I recommend them to anyone who likes indie music.
As for the Grizzly Bear and Department of Eagles, I enjoyed them both, but haven't had enough time to get through them as much as I wanted. It will probably be a bit later on those due to the other AWESOME stuff. I'll get to them though. ^  ^

Today's been a pretty awesome day.
I picked up some new CDs and then proceeded to see District 9, which is now one of my favorite movies. <3
Here's a list of what I got. I'll probably write something about the songs that I like about these CDs either tomorrow or later in the week.

Department of Eagles
      "In Ear Park"
Grizzly Bear
      "Friend EP"
      "Horn of Plenty"
"Horn of Plenty - The Remix"
      "Sorry for the Delay"
      "Veckatimest"
      "Yellow House"
The Mars Volta
      "Octahedron"
Spoon
      "Gimme Fiction"
"Girls Can Tell" (I've already heard this one and LOVE it.)

I got new glasses. I got a car. I've lost track of blog updates. Oops. XD

Due to school starting, my posts are going to become even more sparse than they are as of now. I'm going to try to post on Mondays and Fridays still. I haven't listened to very much new stuff. I've just been going through all of my music and listening to some of my favorites over and over again. Here's some new songs though.
